Mission....
The main goal of speech therapy is to improve your scholar’s communication, so that they can better access the academic curriculum. Other benefits of speech therapy are improvement in your scholar’s ability to understand and express ideas and feelings, intelligible speech so your scholar is understood by others, development of social skills, greater self-esteem and increased independence.
A Little About Me....
Hi! My name is Ms. M. Willie, and I am the monolingual speech therapist. I am very excited to be working together this year to help meet your child's speech and language goals. I have been working with scholars at Edward Everett Hale (PS 106K) for several years and I enjoy helping them access their academic curriculum in order to help them communicate better. One thing you should know about me: I'm a SYFY fan! My favorite SYFY shows are Star Trek the Next Generation, Star Trek Voyager, Star Trek Deep Space Nine and of course the Original Star Trek. My favorite Star Trek Captains are Piccard, Janeway and Kirk. Last but not least, my favorite Star Trek quotes are: "We are Borg. You will be assimilated!", "Resistance is futile!", and "Live long and Prosper."
